# Method:
01 - Preheat the oven to 350°F and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
02 - In a large bowl, cream together softened butter and granulated sugar until the mixture is light and fluffy.
03 - Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until fully combined.
04 - Whisk together all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt in a separate bowl.
05 - Gradually add the dry ingredients into the wet mixture, mixing until a soft dough forms.
06 - Roll the dough into 1-inch balls and space them 2 inches apart on the prepared baking sheets.
07 - Gently flatten each ball with the bottom of a glass or your palm to create round discs.
08 - Bake for 10 to 12 minutes, until edges turn lightly golden. Cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
